Dead Bang (1989)

The '80s were awash with action-packed thrillers featuring studly sexy leading men, and 1989's Dead Bang is no ex exception! This movie doesn't deviate from the grizzled-cop-seeking-revenge plot that so thoroughly thrilled '80s audiences. In Dead Bang Don Johnson (who in 1973 showed his penis and very full bush during a full-frontal shot in The Harrad Experiment, just FYI and TYVM) takes on the role of Jerry Beck - a cop hell-bent on finding the culprit who murdered a fellow cop on Christmas Eve. Little does Jerry know that his search will lead him down a rabbit hole, straight towards a ring of violent radicalized white supremacists. All the while, Jerry must battle his own inner-saboteur. He's been boozing it up more than he'd like to admit, and in one scene the hunger over Jerry even vomits on a culprit. Oops. Did I do that? Dead Bang has all the trappings of a successful '80s action movie, but if you want some action, you should check out Don Johnson's super hot shirtless bod! This man is swerving us '80s daddy realness, and we live. In one scene he makes Penelope Ann Miller breakfast in an effort to entice her to stay awhile. She has to run, but we're left with a look at Don Johnson wearing only some tight-fitting white pants. I'll have what she's not having! Hmm, how many 1989 catchphrases can we pack into one review?
