Review

Lipstick is a harrowing drama about a world-famous fashion model assaulted by a musician slash music teacher, Gordon Stuart (Chris Sarandon). Real-life beauty Margaux Hemingway plays the model, named Chris. She's the face of a massive lipstick campaign for a leading beauty company. The two meet up at a racy beach photoshoot, but Gordon learns that their new friendship is plutonic after he happens to catch Chris on the phone with her romantic partner Steve (Perry King). So Gordon works himself up into a rage and assaults Chris in her apartment. Believe it or not, this is just the beginning of Chris' troubles with this certified a-hole. She calls the cops and Gordon is swiftly arrested. However, his scheming lawyers work to undercut Chris' testimony at every corner, and even go so far as to say that she deserved the assault due to the sexual imagery she released into the world, not to mention the time she got naked in front of Gordon at the aforementioned beach photoshoot. What does a lawyer get when you give him Viagra? Taller. Anyway, Gordon somehow takes things even further by assaulting Kathy, Chris' teenage sister. This puts Chris over the edge, and she grabs a rifle and kills Gordon once and for all. Good riddance. If you can forget about the movie magic for a second, you can appreciate Chris Sarandon's nude scene. He exposes his artfully lit ass while making a creepy call to Chris. Hey, it's a nude scene. We take what we can get! Forget lipstick, we want a full face of Chris Sarandon!
