Yanks (1979)

The WWII tale Yanks (1979) follows Richard Gere and William Devane as American soldiers who discover romance while stationed in a small English town. Gere hooks up with local shop girl Lisa Eichhorn, while Devane gets to nibble on the upper crust of Vanessa Redgrave. The locals aren’t too happy to see the Americans enjoying themselves, but give the US forces a break. After all, they’re about to risk their lives for Europe.

Gere and Devane are uncharacteristically stingy with the skin in this war torn love story.  There are a few shirtless shots which expose perfect pecs and broad strong shoulders.  What will cause viewers to stand and salute is the boyfett of naked soldiers lathering up in an outdoor shower scene. War is hell, but that shot is heavenly.  Pass the soap.
