I am often pleasantly surprised by a lovely full frontal nude scene, but there are some movies that are REALLY surprising when they have full frontal in them. In fact, I am sure some of these films here will make you say "there's a nude scene in there?!" - nevermind that there is full-on cock in it! 5. Breathless
In the 1980s, Richard Gere was THE hunk. The American Gigolo was no stranger to nudity, but it did surprise me that he showed his cock in a steamy shower scene in Breathless. The reason for that is because Breathless is a remake of the Jean-Luc Godard classic from 1960 that launched Jean Seberg and the pixie cut into popularity. There was no nudity in that film, but this 1983 remake was filled with male and female nudity.
In all honesty, it does make sense that this movie would have nudity considering the couple is all loved-up inside all day, I was just surprised to see it focus so much on Richard's dick. We were left breathless at Gere's member!
4. The Terminator
This 1984 action film is an all-around action classic. A cyborg travels back in time to help save humanity, but to my surprise, he is naked when he travels through time. What's up with that? I guess clothes don't travel through the space-time-continuum. Regardless, we got to behold Arnold Schwarzenegger's totally naked body in the muscular buff! That certainly was a welcome surprise.
3. Captain Fantastic
Viggo Mortensen looked strikingly sexy in this scene where he stands in the doorway of a bus while totally naked. He's gone nude before, so that was not the surprising thing about this film. The reason I was so surprised? This is a tender family film! At least, it is a film about a family.
There is nothing adult in the movie besides this scene. The plot follows a hippie dad who has to make some compromises to his way of life after his wife passes away. They were raising their kids off the grid, but her death brought some interruptions to their way of life. See? Nothing about sex or nudity at all, but go off Viggo!
2. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
We all know this scene by now, but let's try to put this scene in context. We rarely see full frontal nudity in a comedy - especially a romantic comedy and ESPECIALLY from a man. We all know by now that nudity in comedies usually comes with some kind of joke. Jason Segel's performance here IS funny, but it is mostly funny because he is caught totally nude with his dick out while his girlfriend breaks up with him.
There is nothing funny about his body - quite the opposite, actually - but given the context of the scene, it is funny. I thought this was a sly way to do male nudity in a comedy because nothing here is obscured and his body is not the joke. The joke is that he just so happens to be naked. We can all forget Sarah Marshall all we want, but we will never forget this nude scene.
1. Life of Brian
And speaking of comedies, let's talk about Monty Python's Life of Brian. This comedy skewers politics more than it skewers religion as it takes a look at the fumbles of the ancient government who accidentally crucify Brian of Nazareth instead of Jesus of Nazareth. Poor Brian spends his life being mistaken for the wrong guy, but we can't mistake Graham Chapman who plays Brian and shows off his cock in a full frontal scene.
Monty Python did full frontal?! Oh, yes, sweetie. Life of Brian taught us to always look at the bright side of life. Well, I sure am looking at it and it's between Graham's thighs.
