It’s sunny whenever Carl Weathers is in view! Decades ago, the New Orleans native played professional football with the Oakland Raiders, but retired in 1974 to focus on acting. In 1975, Weathers won bit parts in Blaxploitation movies (Bucktown, Friday Foster) and guest spots on television series (Kung Fu, Good Times, The Six Million Dollar Man). The ebony babe became a household name when Sylvester Stallone cast him as Apollo Creed in the boxing hit Rocky (1976).
