Take ex-jock Carl Weathers, place him in an action drama called Action Jackson (1988), and watch the theaters fill up. With good reason too. Not only is the film's explosive promise more than fulfilled as Weathers storms through Detroit like a black Dirty Harry, but those with both a soft spot for NFL linebackers and a hard spot for whips and chains will be furiously flogging their Jacksons when Carl gets chained to a radiator sans shirt an hour and 18 minutes in. The real action here is jackin'!
