Indecent Proposal (1993)

What would you do, and how far would you go, to score a million bucks? That’s the question posed by screenwriter Amy Holden Jones in the erotic drama Indecent Proposal (1993), not to be confused with Indecent Behavior (1993). Based on the same-named novel by Jack Engelhard, Adrian Lyne’s thriller follows David (Woody Harrelson) and Diana (Demi Moore) Murphy. They’re a happily married (or so they think) couple with financial problems. In an effort to earn some cash, they head to the gambling tables in Las Vegas. Along the way, they encounter Day Tripper (Billy Bob Thornton), Jeremy Green (Oliver Platt), Mr. Langford (Rip Taylor), an auction MC (Billy Connolly), and the real Sheena Easton! Of course, Murphy’s luck strikes for the Murphys when dapper billionaire John Gage (Robert Redford) offers them $1 million to bang the little lady. So, instead of David winning big by playing poker, Diana plans to roll in dough while Gage pokes her! Despite this premise, we see more of Ms. Moore when she’s getting busy with Mr. Harrelson. Just five minutes into the movie, the skintastic actor flashes his bare back as he gets hot and heavy with his onscreen wife on the kitchen floor. Boner appétit! If that’s not titillating enough, Woody also lounges around without his shirt on. Although critics dissed this R rated pic, it was a massive hit. In fact, the $38 million flick made more than $265 million at the box office. Plus, it generated mega interest in our spank banks!
