Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is a Japanese-American actor, sports physiologist, martial artist, and stuntman. His most notable roles include playing Eunuch Chang in The Last Emperor (1987), a Hong Kong narcotics agent in Licensed To Kill (1991), and as the sorcerer Shang Tsung in the film adaptation of the classic video game Mortal Kombat (1995). And while even a casual observer can attest to Tagawa’s athletic prowess in all of these high-flying roles, we prefer to observe him a bit less casually in Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991), where he plays Yoshida, the ceaselessly evil leader of the Iron Claw. Starring alongside Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee, Tagawa leaves little to the imagination as he dons nothing but a Sumo-style thong known as a fundoshi. With his slick black hair pulled tightly back and his rock hard body covered in breathtaking ink, Yoshida is a bad guy that’s simply too sexy to hold a grudge against.
