City of Gold (2018)

El Dorado, the famed City of Gold (2018) has been leading explorers on deadly wild goose chases since the Spanish Conquistadors first heard the legend in the 16th Century. Supposedly filmed in just fourteen days, Harry Locke IV's horror-adventure film follows Jon Davenport (Robbie Allen), a rich kid reeling from the death of his media magnate dad (Christopher Atkins). Looking to get his mind right, he decides he'll go with his ex-girlfriend (Riley Dandy) deep into the jungles of Peru to track down the elusive artist Jorge Escamilla (John Charles Meyer). They track down the hermit fella, only for him to start telling tales about a lost city of gold he's somehow found. Becoming just another set of adventurers to make the same atrocious decision, they all head into the jungle looking to find it and pretty quickly realize they shouldn't have. From snakes and natural threats to Natives that don't appreciate visitors, things don't go so great. Especially when Jon realizes he's related to an old Conquistador (Vernon Wells) that slaughtered all sorts of Natives and just might be able to take control of his body. Speaking of bodies, it ends up our little nepo baby is very much into BDSM. Early on in the movie, we see him go into a red room (what's with BDSM's love of red rooms?) for a kinky sex session. On top of seeing his chest as he gets on top of his lady for a little thrusting, Robbie ties himself up so that his lady can whip his bare ass! Now that scene is gold! Sorry Indiana Jones, we've got a new favorite whip scene in an adventure flick, and it's the one in City of Gold!
