What Is History Of Sound About?
Two of the biggest - and we do mean biggest - names in the biz are teaming up for what is sure to be one of the hottest gay romance movies in recent history. Word just got out that openly gay director Oliver Hermanus enlisted Normal People star Paul Mescal and The Crown and God's Own Country star Josh O'Connor for his upcoming gay drama History of Sound. In this period piece O'Connor and Mescal play two men recording the lives of those fighting for America in WWI. The movie is based in author Ben Shattuck's book of the same name. Here's what Hermanus had to say about the project:

What Are Oliver Hermanus' Previous Movies?
Oliver's most high-profile movie to date is the 2020 war drama Moffie. Yes, he previously director a war drama with great male nudity. Things are looking up. Moffie is about a teenager drafted into the South American army in the early 1980s who knows he's different from the other boys. He meets another boy who is different from the other boys, and their homosexual tension is the stuff of legend. Moffie doesn't deliver explicit gay sex, but you simply have to see these shower scenes to believe them. How many gorgeous naked men can one movie handle? Turns out, a lot. As if Moffie isn't enough, you can also catch some gay action in Oliver's 2011 drama Beauty. It's about a closeted married man, Deon Lotz, who becomes infatuated with a much younger straight man, played by the very good looking Charlie Keegan. Sadly the gay scenes here are not particularly sexy (Lotz's character, frustrated by his inability to align with his sexuality, violates the object of his affection, Charlie). But at least Beauty, along with Moffie, establishes a pattern of dudity in Oliver Hermanus' films. Paul Mescal became an overnight star thanks to his starring role in the Hulu romantic drama series Normal People. There's quite frankly nothing normal about the size of Paul's penis. He goes frontal in multiple scenes, and proves that the rumor about Irish men is indeed correct. They are hung.
Josh O'Connor is this blogger's number one celebrity crush, and thankfully he was kind enough to share his God-given good looks with his fans in God's Own Country. The gay romance is considered Britain's answer to Call Me By Your Name (both movies were released in 2017). However many actually prefer God's Own Country because it doesn't shy away from celebrating gay male sexuality with fantastic nude scenes.
