Who do you get to play a hot business guy wandering in the wilds of Australia?Gotaro Tsunashima, of course. The Tokyo-born actor was hand-chosen to play the role of Hiromitsu Tachibana in the movie Japanese Story (2003), the lover of Toni Collette, a geologist. The two start out at odds with each other, but a bare-chested Gotaro emerges from the water and Toni Collette is hooked, as is Mr. Man. His little black swimming briefs are soaking wet, and clinging absolutely everywhere. There’s also a scene where Mr. Man wishes he were the hand of Toni Collette (watch, and you’ll know exactly of what Mr. Man is speaking). (And yes, you always have to use both her first and last name every time you reference her: Toni Collette.) The movie earned Gotaro a nomination for Best Actor from the Australian Film Institute (like the Academy), with the film winning a total of eight of them. After this flick, you might have spotted the dark-haired dish playing Yamada in The Great Raid (2005), an Australia, US movie starring fellow brunette hotties Benjamin Bratt, Joseph Fiennes, James Franco, and Mark Consuelos. Most of the actor’s credits, though, appear in his home country of Japan, most notably the role of Masuda in the Keishichô Shinri Sôsakan Asuka series of TV movies, 1(2011), 2 (2012), and 3 (2013). Despite Mr. Man’s vast network of skintertainment associates (and a killer set of Google search skills), there seems to be a definitive lack of Gitaro after that number three film. Perhaps someone should ask Toni Collette?
