Though he likely never had the leading man career he may have dreamed of, Harlan Cary Poe was in and around some of the biggest movements in cinema of the 70s and 80s, before leaving acting behind in 1990. Harlan started his career in nudie movies in the early 70s before turning up as a campaign worker for fictional politician Charles Palantine in of the Mount Rushmore movies of New Hollywood, Taxi Driver (1976). He was soon sharing billing alongside Harvey Keitel in Fingers (1978) and Christopher Walken in Dogs of War (1980), but obviously Mr. Man's a big fan of his early work in flicks like Toys Are Not for Children (1972), where he bares his ass in a pair of scenes. Sadly, Harlan passed away in 2015, but we sure hope he was proud of the career he built for himself!
