Beginning your acting career as one of the most despicable child characters in literary history can seem like an almost guaranteed road to disaster as an adult star, but Harry Melling seems to have really bucked that trend. As Dudley Dursley, Melling spent the first decade of his acting career tormenting poor Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter, but has since pivoted toward working with really good directors on really interesting projects. Since leaving the wizarding world behind, Melling has appeared in James Gray's The Lost City of Z (2016), Gina Prince-Bythwood's The Old Guard (2020), and two Coen Brothers films—The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) and The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021)!
