He may sound straight out of Moscow, but The Garden State has harvested a real stud by the name of Ivan Sergei. Originally from Hawthorne, New Jersey, Ivan got his start in an episode of Ghoul School, but first came to prominence as Huero in Dangerous Minds (1995). Our minds were thinking all sorts of thoughts about the dangerously sexy man when he starred in John Woo's American remake of his own movie, Once a Thief (1996). When Woo blew up thanks to movies like Face/Off (1997), they made the movie a TV show and Ivan returned to the role that had him stealing our hearts. Woo boy, he looked good on our TV's! Ivan stuck around the small screen, with long runs as David Jillefsky on the WB's Jack & Jill, recovering drug addict Dr. Peter Winslow on Crossing Jordan and Paige's parole officer husband Henry Mitchell on Charmed. But Ivan really charmed us in the romantic comedy about a gentile pretending to be Jewish to get a girl, Jewtopia (2012). At one point, we see Ivan getting a tattoo on his arm removed, which gives us a glimpse of his shirtless body and big arms. He might not be one of the Chosen People, but we'd choose him to cuddle us! Who cares about Passover when you can work that ass over! A year later and he joined Pierce Brosnan in Some Kind of Beautiful (2014) which showed even more of his beautiful body as he paraded around in a towel. We haven't been dry since! He was a teacher in the absurd James Franco penned Lifetime movie Mother, May I Sleep With Danger (2016), the played Nate on BH90210. Most recently you could see him as Trevor Bowie in the MMA drama The Butterfly Guard (2022). Wish he'd stop guarding his butt and let us see it onscreen! Pretend to be as straight as you want, one look at Ivan and you're gay for Sergei!
