Jakob's Wife (2021)

Jakob's Wife (2021) is about Anne who is a middle-aged woman in a small-town married to a minister. She's the titular Jakob's Wife! She's not really loving her life as the wife of a preacher man. She feels like her world is closing in on her and that her life is shrinking rather than thriving. Basically, she is having a big existential crisis as she realizes that she used to be a thrill-seeker and she is now a shell of her former life. She feels like she is forgetting who really is at her core in this film from Travis Stevens. Everything changes when she meets an entity known as "The Master" who brings her unimaginable power and confidence. Now she wants to live a confident life! But that comes with a price...a huge price. She is totally different now - she even has a new set of teeth coming in and she appears to enjoy eating things like worms, raw meat, and blood. She is transforming into a creature possessed by an entirely different being! Her husband is then conflicted with what he should do: help his wife because they are bound in holy matrimony or try to destroy whatever is happening to her? Larry Fessenden plays Jakob who shows his ass as he bangs his wife on the floor of their house.
