Biography

Thanks to the state of Tennessee, Mr. Man can enjoy Jack Daniel’s whisky, Memphis barbecue, Chattanooga’s MoonPies, Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, Pigeon Forge’s Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountains, the legend of Davy Crockett, and the performances of Michael Jeter. Born in Lawrenceburg, the Tony Award-winning thespian initially studied medicine at Memphis State University (aka the University of Memphis). But instead of becoming a physician, Jeter was destined to share his unique presence on stage (Grand Hotel), on film (The Green Mile, Jurassic Park III, Patch Adams, Tango & Cash), and on TV (Picket Fences). From 2000 to 2003, the openly gay actor was cast as Mister Noodle for the “Elmo’s World” sketches on Sesame Street (1969-present). But the boob tube dude is better known for his Emmy-winning turn as Herman Stiles on the sitcom Evening Shade (1990-1994). Through the years, Michael also appeared on the big screen. In addition to working for Woody Allen in the mockumentary Zelig (1983), Jeter repeatedly collaborated with filmmaker Terry Gilliam on The Fisher King (1991) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998); actor/director/producer Kevin Costner on Waterworld (1995) and Open Range (2003); and auteur Miloš Forman on Ragtime (1981) and Hair (1979). The latter marked the late actor’s movie debut as well as his nude debut! As an army recruit, he strips down in front of a table of officers. The skintastic act lets us see Michael’s full frontal nudity! If that’s not erotic enough, he also exposes his bare butt and painted toenails. Kinky!
