From 2000 to 2003, the openly gay actor was cast as Mister Noodle for the “Elmo’s World” sketches on Sesame Street (1969-present). But the boob tube dude is better known for his Emmy-winning turn as Herman Stiles on the sitcom Evening Shade (1990-1994). Through the years, Michael also appeared on the big screen. In addition to working for Woody Allen in the mockumentary Zelig (1983), Jeter repeatedly collaborated with filmmaker Terry Gilliam on The Fisher King (1991) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998); actor/director/producer Kevin Costner on Waterworld (1995) and Open Range (2003); and auteur Miloš Forman on Ragtime (1981) and Hair (1979).
