He had the looks, talent, guitar, and drive, but that pesky acting bug bit him, and his dreams of rocking out on stage in front of a screaming crowd gave way to being all dramatic and sexy in front of a filming camera. He started out doing guest roles in various TV series, then landed the part of Tazio in the mini-series Black Arrow (2006). Switching to the big screen, he took parts in multiple films before landing back on Italian TV with Il segreto dell’acqua in 2011, and Il giovane Montalbano from 2012-2015. As we all know, in every actor there lies the dormant desire to doff their clothes on screen, which Michele did in the passionate biopic Il giovane favoloso (2014), aka Leopardi, where he played Antonio Ranieri. It’s a brief scene, but Michele shows off every dripping wet inch as he gets out of the bathtub. He followed that film up by playing Libero in the applauded movie La ragazza del mondo (2016), aka Worldly Girl, which won him a nomination for an Italian Golden Globe, one for a David di Donatello Award (like an Oscar), and a win for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
