Yesterday was a tragic day in Hollywood when Ray Liotta passed away. The Goodfellas star died at the age of 67 and left behind him a career to be very proud of. Let's take a moment to pay him some Mr. Man respect by taking a look at his amazing career.
Ray Liotta originally hailed from New Jersey where the intense dramatic actor took his boyish looks to the big screen in no time at all. He was actually adopted from a young age and he had a revelation later in life when he found his birth mother and found out that he has several siblings that he never knew about. He was always trying to parse out that part of his identity, so finding these family members later in life meant a lot to him.
He was an oddball as a kid who liked to play pretend, but it didn't register with him right away that he should be an actor. He wanted to be an athlete! But college changed his trajectory. He studied acting at the University of Miami and then worked on Broadway in the service industry before he got a role in a soap opera.
He made his onscreen debut in the 1983 film The Lonely Lady. His most memorable work spans everything from romantic comedies to gangster movies. He played Henry Hill in Goodfellas, Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams, and an ex-con after his ex-wife in Something Wild. That part truly was wild! He really did it all. No wonder we all are feeling this loss. Ray Liotta was such an epic, unforgettable part of our lives.
He made his booty debut in Unlawful Entry where he had us wanting to lawfully enter his ass whenever he was ready! He took a steamy shower and let us see the ways that his buns were glistening under the shower water. Mmmmm, what a man - what an ass!
We saw that booty again in movies like Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Wanderlust. It was clear that Ray Liotta was not an actor to shy away from a little bit of nudity. In fact, he seemed to embrace it with the same amount of enthusiasm that he showed for all of his roles. He always gave 110%, buns and all.
When it came to nude scenes, he sported his booty in five different scenes. My personal favorite is the 2005 film Revolver in which he showed his full backside in blue lighting. Then he showed that blue booty in Powder Blue which didn't leave your balls...well, you get it.
Liotta has had some extra success later in his career. In the past few years alone, he had major roles in Marriage Story, The Many Saints of Newark, and Hanna. It's clear that he showed no signs of stopping. The working actor had no intention of not working and adored him for that because we adored all of his roles. He was so hardworking and he gave so much authenticity to all of his roles - regardless of the kind of film it was. That is a rare and special quality in an actor.
He passed away on Wednesday night (or early Thursday morning) in his hotel room in the Dominic Republic while he was making the film Dangerous Waters. He had gone down there to begin working on the film a week ago. It is absolutely tragic that his life was cut short. We have nothing but love and respect for Ray Liotta.
