After seven thrilling shirtless seasons, Riverdale is finally over, and it is an understatement to say that the CW series went out with a bang. The show has existed for its fans almost from the get-go, so we shouldn't be surprised that the series finale was 100% dedicated to Riverdale stans' wildest sex fantasies. And yet, here we are. Things get even gayer than last week's episode, which is to say, gay.
The finale is packed with information, but here's what you need to know: The episode skips into the future, when Betty is the last of the Riverdale friend group alive. She relives her heyday with the gang, and through her memories, we learn about who had sex with whom in high school as well as what happened to the Riverdale friends when they grew up.
It's the first part of that sentence that we are getting into today. Betty informs us that Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Archie (K.J. Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), and Veronica (Camila Mendes) were in a polyamorous relationship during their senior year of high school! They swapped out romantically with each other each night, meaning that, yes, K.J. Apa and Cole Sprouse had sex on Riverdale.
Now do we see Archie and Jughead make love? No. The responsibility of creating that visual has been handed off to the Tumblrverse, where hopefully plenty of fans will cook up some hot content. We can only dream of what it would be like for Archie to top Jughead's tight pink hole. What we do have is a playlist of the hottest Riverdale scenes to date. Riverdale ushered in a new era of teens-gone-wild series and introduced the world to K.J. Apa's abs. A true cultural reset.
