A fixture in macho movies of the late 1970s and 1980s like The Warriors (1979), 48 Hrs. (1982), Predator (1987), Action Jackson (1988), and Lock Up (1989), Sonny Landham was one of a kind! Half Cherokee and 1/8 Seminole, Landham racked up quite the impressive resume throughout his career, though he left acting behind in the late 1990s, hoping to get into politics like his Predator co-stars Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarzenegger by mounting an ultimately unsuccessful campaign for Kentucky governor in 2003. Sadly we lost Sonny in the summer of 2017, but we'll always think of him fondly, especially when checking out his shirtless scene from Predator!
