Our Staff Picks column is a new addition that takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version has a decidedly nude angle, as we suss out which films from a certain genre with great nudity. This week: Black action stars!
It's Black History Month, so giving a spotlight to Black action stars feels right. Everyone loves an action hero and sometimes these hunky action stars go nude. They should ALL go nude since they all have fit bodies, but these are the stars who have kicked ass and shown ass.
Wesley Snipes
When you think of Wesley Snipes, you probably think of Blade. The action star who kicked ass in Blade and Demolition Man remains synonymous with his day walker role. He showed his cock in an earlier role in which he played a football player. We'll take that footlong being a badass at any time!
Idris Elba
Is anyone sexier than Idris Elba? This tall, dark, and handsome drink of water leaves us all thirsty whenever we see him onscreen. Many of us first fell in love with him after watching him in the British crime show Luther. That sexy accent and his ability to take down crime have us all panting for more. No wonder people wanted him to be the next 007.
Jamie Foxx
Jamie Foxx is often underrated for how cool he is. The hottie with a stellar body was the perfect lead in Django Unchained in which he also showed his ass. He also took a break from the action to take a naked shower in Miami Vice. Whether he is an athlete, a vigilante, or a crime-fighter, Jamie Foxx has a ton of range as an action star.
Denzel Washington
Denzel is one of the best actors of all time, so it can be easy to forget that he kicks ass, too. While I love his bare ass in the romantic film Mississippi Masala, I also adore his action-packed roles in Ricochet and The Hurricane. His ass hits us like a hot hurricane!
Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is well-known for being half-Samoan, but people tend to forget his father was Black (and from Nova Scotia). Dwayne is the epitome of an action hero. With his bulging muscles and his do-gooder attitude, he's the perfect leading man for a mainstream action movie. While he doesn't typically go nude, he did show his ass during a quickie sex scene in Ballers. If only we saw his balls, too!
Will Smith
Finally, Will Smith is a lot like Dwayne Johnson when it comes to an action hero. He's squeaky clean, he's fit, and he likes fighting crime.
