After hitting it big on The Daily Show, for nine years between 2005 and 2014 Stephen Colbert brought the laughs as a pseudo-Bill O'Reilly type character on The Colbert Report. When the show, combined with a viral speech he gave at the 2006 White House Correspondence Dinner trashing George W. Bush to his face, made him a household name, it wasn't long before he was named successor to David Letterman as host of The Late Show. Now dubbed The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the show kicked off in 2015 with George Clooney as its first guest. Who could have guessed Colbert would be doing gags like "First Drafts," "Rich, Please!" and "The Sound of Science" a decade later? While there have been all sorts of highlights, like when a few guests tried to test his Tolkien knowledge and found out the hard way that he's a serious nerd, when he asked Taylor Swift which of her songs was written about him, and when he tried to lighten the mood with Anthony Fauci in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, our favorite episode so far was the one where Stephen kissed Andrew Garfield not once but twice for the cameras in the wake of Andrew's steamy Golden Globes kiss with Ryan Reynolds. Then, in another episode Stephen plants a smooch on Finn Wittrock, though that one's not as steamy. We can only hope this becomes a regular attraction. We're certainly attracted to it! Whose ass do we have to kiss to make that happen? If you're looking to get it up, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is worth staying up for!
