At its heart, the Spanish series Urban: la vida es nuestra is about the classic millennial struggle of balancing passion with duty. A generation raised on the idea that they will always be free to pursue their creative interests faces headwinds when the bills start to pile up. But Yanet (Asia Ortega) isn't going to take adulting lying down. She's an aspiring rapper who leaves her middling life behind to pursue her dreams in the city of Málaga, which has a burgeoning rap scene. She runs across her old flame Patrick (Bernardo Flores) here, and ironically he has become a successful rapper. Will Yanet be able to navigate both love and the cutthroat world of music?
