Based on the book of the same name by Jeong Chan, the Netflix Original South Korean series Bloodhounds—which debuted on the streaming service in the spring of 2023—tells a true tale of good versus evil set in the world of bare knuckle boxing. Two promising young fighters and former Marines, Kim Geon-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Hong Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) are attempting to break into the very crooked world of professional boxing by working as enforcers for loan sharks. Realizing that they themselves have become a part of the problem, they team up with wealthy benefactor Choi Tae-ho (Huh Joon-ho), looking to clear some of the red in his own ledger, to take down the notorious CEO of Smile Capital Kim Myeong-gil (Park Sung-woong), who moonlights as the most powerful and influential loan shark in the underworld.

Perhaps the most unfortunate thing about the series is that there's virtually no action outside of the ring, at least, not the kind we love here at Mr. Man. There are, however, many opportunities to gawk at the sight of leading men Lee Sang-yi and Woo Do-hwan shirtless and sparring!
