O.K., you can all just get your mind right out of the gutter with the title of this South Korean TV series because D.P. actually stands for Deserter Pursuit, not something else.  This 2021 Netflix series follows a pair of soldiers in the South Korean Army, Ahn Joon-Ho (Jung Hae-in) and Han Ho-yeol (Koo Kyo-hwan).  You see military service on the Korean peninsula is mandatory, so there is plenty of young men who are forced into conscription that don't want to be there, so there are also plenty of deserters who simple walk away from their posts.  When a Sergeant in charge of the D.P. unit notices that Ahn and Han are a couple of soldiers that are more insightful than the average potato in his unit, he decides to put these two borderline slackers in charge of finding deserters who flee in the middle of the night.  The series definitely has some funny parts, but it's more or less pointing at the futility of forcing people to join the military who definitely don't want to be there and the men who pursue them, who kind of also don't want to be there.  It's definitely an interesting look at how conscription flies in a different country that may or, more times may not, be in harms way.  Lucky for us, the two leads in the series Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan are Korean sex symbols and both of them show some solid skin in season 1, with a little bathhouse water fight for your viewing pleasure!
