Kids love when the circus comes to town, just as adults would love to go to town on Andy Serkis. The English actor, voice-over artist, director, and owner of The Imaginarium production company is one of the highest-grossing performers of all time! Through the years, the Lancaster University grad has put his stamp on motion pictures (13 Going on 30, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, The Adventures of Tintin, The Prestige) as well as television shows (Little Dorrit, The Letter for the King), and stage plays (Hurlyburly, Othello). In addition to lending his vocal chords to the CGI character Gollum in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001-2003) and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012), Andy voiced King Kong (2005) and Caesar in the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise (2011-2017). The multi-talented man also portrayed real-life serial killer Ian Brady in Longford (2006), physicist Albert Einstein in Einstein and Eddington (2008), and musician Ian Dury in Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2010). The latter paid off with a Best Actor nomination from the BAFTA Awards. If that’s not impressive enough, the marvelous talent entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe via the blockbusters Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Black Panther (2018), and The Batman (2022). Serkis also popped up in the Star Wars films: The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017), and The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
