Biography

A teddy bear of a guy who is more often bearded than not, Antoine Monot Jr. is a funny guy who’s also done serious parts. Born in Germany, he’s now a Swiss citizen. While his career started in 1992 with an uncredited role as the auto scooter guy in the film Kinder der Landstrasse, aka Children of the Open Road, his breakthrough role came in playing Walter in the romantic comedy Absolute Giganten (1999), aka Gigantics (1999), which won Outstanding Feature Film at the German Film Awards, and personally scored Antoine a Best Actor trophy at the Sochi International Film Festival. This led to many, many, many other gigs. In fact, all-told, Antoine has appeared in well over 40 feature films and over 20 TV movies. He’s also had stints in over 50 TV series, including playing various parts in Sketch History from 2015-2016, Antoine in Knallerkerle, aka Crackers, from 2017-2018, Benni Hornberg in both Ein Fall für Zwei (A Case for Two) and Ein Fall für Zwei: Reloaded, both running from 2014 through 2022.  Antoine was equally-as-impressive in the films Who Am I-No System is Safe (2014) as Paul; What a Man (2011) as Alex;

TKKG (2019) as Hermann Sauerlich; and Enfant Terrible (2020) as Peter Berling. He also played the character Gian in Der Kreis (2014), aka The Circle, where he goes ass out while pounding into his male partner—ass out being the most important words. His bare butt is more than ample to grab a hold of a handful, and his shaggy beard and hair are where Mr. Man picks up the teddy bear vibes. So cuddly!
