Bad Words (2013)

The subversive comedy Bad Words (2013) stars Jason Bateman as Guy Trilby, a foul mouthed, intensely negative forty-year-old savant that, through a loophole and with the help of reporter Kathryn Hahn (Jenny Widgeon), enters the Golden Quill, a child’s spelling bee competition. Oblivious to the frustrated contest officials (Allison Janney and Philip Baker Hall), outraged parents and whining eighth graders, Guy trounces the competition. But when the spelling bee hijacker crosses paths with a competitor Chaitanya (Rohan Chand), an awkward ten-year-old, he just might’ve met his match. If you want to some skin, go somewhere else.
