Blue Caprice (2013)

Blue Caprice (2013) is the film debut of writer-director Alexandre Moors. It’s the story of an abandoned boy lured to America and under the influence of a dangerous father figure. The movie, inspired by true events, explores the psychological distress of the infamous Beltway sniper attacks, but from the point of view of the two killers. The movie is made all the more visceral by the work of musician and actor Tequan Richmond, who knows how to stuff a pair of BVDs. It may seem like an odd oasis in a desert of violence, abuse and murder, but we’ll take what we can get.
