Ever since Brokeback Mountain (2005) starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal broke the box office, gained critical praise and racked up accolades, filmmakers no longer avoided telling homosexual love stories. After all, who can resist Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey in I Love You Philip Morris (2009); Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer in Call Me By Your Name (2017); Taron Egerton and Richard Madden in Rocketman (2019); or Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal in All of Us Strangers (2023)? No need to raise your hand (or another part of your anatomy) since this is a rhetorical question. Granted, Mr. Man can’t forget to add Brotherly Love (2017) to this list. Under the pen and direction of Anthony Caruso, the gay drama centers around Brother Vito Fortunato (Caruso), a priest who works in the Catholic Church. As you can guess, he’s taken vows to be celibate. But when he falls for a guy named Gabe Rimes (Derek Babb) he must choose between his calling and his love — make that, lust. In other words, as Vito wrestles with his conscience, you may be wrestling with your zipper since shots of Anthony and Derek swapping spit will get you hot under the collar! In fact, the two studs really steam up the screen at the 01:22:30 mark. That’s when they shed their threads to have sex in bed. The skintastic act showcases their collective pecs and buns as they go at it in various positions. Their unholy union may bring you to your knees!
