If you listen to movie reviewers, David Garrett is not an actor. We’re fine with this. We’re not here to judge anyone’s acting talents. But he is a hunk, a long-haired hunk that can play a Stradivarius like no other. You see, the handsome German is an accomplished, award-winning violinist, even though he looks like he should be playing guitar for a grunge band. His musical virtuosity, along with his hunky looks, are the valid reasons why he scored the role as famed violinist Niccolò Paganini in the biopic The Devil’s Violinist (2013), a role that gave us a brief yet satisfying look at his bare upper body during two scenes of interrupted sex with a luck lady. Sure, David should stick to playing his violin and leave the acting to the experts, but it wouldn’t hurt if he showed up in more films, minus his shirt. Just putting that out there.
