Like his most famous character, made man Carlo Rizzi in The Godfather (1972), Italian-American actor Gianni Russo exudes a confident and deeply tanned charisma that makes you want to watch him sunbathe in his bikini bottoms. Preferably on a yacht. In Monte Carlo. Drinking champagne more expensive than most peoples' cars... Sorry, where were we? Oh yeah--Gianni was born in NYC in December 1943 and was still relatively unknown when he was cast in The Godfather. He bragged that he used "Family" connections to land the part, and has been typecast as a Mafia thug ever since.
