David Hockney, not to be confused with the celebrated English artist of the same… no, wait, it is the same bespectacled painter of pop art fame! If you think you’ve clicked onto some artsy fartsy website, not to worry. Mr. Man has included Mr. Hockney because there is a movie about him called A Bigger Splash (1973). As much as we’d love the title to refer to gushing bodily fluids, it actually comes from one of the artist’s most famous swimming pool paintings from 1967. Equal parts biopic and documentary, the Jack Hazan film is totally sexy! The movie shows David in the shower, a classic trope of female nudity in cinema, but this time the tables are turned — and those tables have a hairy penis and balls! Yes, in addition to learning about the visual arts, we get an anatomy lesson on Hockney’s full frontal nudity! Like other naked babes in the background, David struts his stuff in the buff! The same can be said of his then-lover Peter Schlesinger. During one scene, the painter displays his naked T&A as well as his PB& J (pubes, balls and Johnson). When not exposing his master-piece of ass, Dave’s artwork can be seen on an episode of the primetime soap Dynasty (1984), in the TV movie What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1991), and in the rom-com Something’s Gotta Give (2003). In 1986, Hockney was inducted into Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed Hall of Fame but we’d rather see him undressed instead!
