Glasgow gave the world a real gem in the form of actor, writer, composer, and comedian Billy Connolly. Although he had a traumatic childhood, the macho man rose above it. After stints in the shipyards and the Territorial Army, this Scottish stud made his movie debut in the mystery thriller Absolution (1978). Years later, the amusing import made it big as the long-haired teacher Billy MacGregor on the successful sitcom Head of the Class (1990-1991), which gave way to the short-lived spin-off Billy (1992). In the Queen Victoria biopic Mrs Brown (1997), the skintastic actor bared his bush, butt and junk when he skinny-dips in the ocean. Even in the cold water, this Scot is hot! The clever comic outdid himself when he let it all hang out, going full frontal during a crazy dance in the middle of Leicester Square on the televised charity gig Comic Relief (2001). Suffice it to say, he gave fans a funny boner! Though he kept his clothes on in White Oleander (2002), The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) and Gulliver’s Travels (2010), Mr. Connolly continued to delight audience members. Standing at six feet, the prolific performer lent his sexy presence to the big and small screens. No wonder, he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Glasgow and was knighted by the Queen for his services in the entertainment industry. Obviously, Sir Billy boasts rugged good looks, a wonderful wit, an enduring spirit, and a backside we’d love to get behind. Cheers, mate!
