On July 1st, the legendary screenwriter and director Robert Towne passed away after many successful years in the film industry. Ever since his first script in 1960, Robert Towne has been the name of the go-to favorite screenwriter for every Hollywood director. He is also one of our favorites considering how much nudity he wrote into his scripts. Let's celebrate his life and legacy through his hottest scenes:

First thing is first: did you know that he was originally an actor? It's true! The Los Angeles native took acting classes with his roommate and buddy Jack Nicholson in the late 50s and early 60s. Who was their teacher? The B-movie maven himself Roger Corman! As you probably already know, Corman loves to give aspiring filmmakers their first opportunities and he did the same for Towne.

Corman produced Towne's first screenplay Last Woman on Earth. This 1960 film starred Towne as the leading man, too. Towne starred in a few more films but fell into screenwriting as his main gig. He banged out several scripts for Corman and for himself and then he moved on to becoming Hollywood's main script doctor. He consulted and punched up some of the best films in New American cinema including the movies Bonnie Clyde, Drive, He Said, The Parallax View, Heaven Can Wait, Marathon Man, and The Godfather. That is quite the resume and we're just getting started.

He hit his writing stride in the 70s with his first Oscar nomination for The Last Detail. This 1973 film starred Randy Quard, Otis Young, and Jack Nicholson as young sailors in a dramedy about male friendship and loyalty as the boys bond before shipping out. It's a good movie, but I was disappointed. For a film about sailors, I expected more semen.

Sure, that film was great, but have you ever heard of a little flick called Chinatown? Yeah, Robert Towne wrote that. 1974's Chinatown is certainly what he is best known for and for a good reason. It's a great film. His bestie Jack Nicholson starred as Detective Jake in a twisted case of corruption in San Francisco's Chinatown neighborhood where he gets mixed up with a dame played by Faye Dunaway.

Chinatown is widely considered one of the best movies of the 20th century and one of the best American movies ever made. Robert Towne even won his first Best Screenplay Oscar for it! And as a treat to us, this steamy noir featured just a bit of booty from his buddy Jack. That's something to jack it to.

He also wrote Shampoo which featured Warren Beatty as a famous Hollywood hair stylist. Beatty bore his buns in one scene in which he pulled down his pants to nail a babe. He didn't take everything off, but we see his full crack!

In the 1980s, Towne turned to directing. His directorial debut was the wildly underrated Personal Best. This really is a personal best for nudity! The 1982 sports film starring Mariel Hemingway is pretty sapphic with track-and-field Olympic ladies training on one another's bodies. There is Olympic gold for fans of dudity in the movie. Kenny Moore gives us more than we bargained for with his full frontal scene!

He also wrote and directed 2006's Ask the Dust which provided one of Colin Farrell's many fantastic nude scenes. He and Salma Hayek get naked in the ocean for a midnight swim. Watch Colin's cock here:
