Mr. Man does love it when cute boys grow up to be even cuter, hot men. Mr. Man does love it when cute boys grow up to be even cuter, hot men. Jake Short fits the bill, having made his acting debut at the age of 10, playing the child version of Daniel in The Anna Nicole Smith Story (2007) (the one starring Willa Ford in case you’re trying to differentiate). From there, he played Nose Noseworthy in Shorts (2008), and by the time he was 14, he was a major player in the Disney universe, playing Fletcher Quimby on A.N.T. Farm from 2011-2014, immediately followed by the role of Oliver in Mighty Med from 2013-2015 and its sequel series, Lab Rats: Elite Force. After a two-year break from the Mouse, he re-appeared as a 21-year-old actor playing high-school kid Fig in Hulu series All Night in 2018. He showed off his bare butt two years later as Mattie Sullivan in The First Team, while a doctor groped his nethers and Will Arnett didn’t mind at all. With all-American, boy-next-door looks, it’s no surprise Jake has continued to wow with the high-school crowd, playing well below his age as Mikey in This Is the Year (2020), Neil in Supercool (2021), and as a bare-chested hunk Larson in Sex Appeal (2022). Now. The only thing left for Mr. Man to write about is the fact that Jake, my boy, is from Indianapolis, and to come up with some sort of pun to play off his last name, Short, and how long might be somehow worked into that… Mr. Man will get back to you. Shortly.
