Making his way into the hearts of hunk admirers from beautiful Ontario, Canada, Jim Watson has made quite the career out of starring in Canadian television shows, and in US shows that are shot in Canada. The North Bay native grew up with dreams of becoming a professional hockey player when he was a tot, until he realized acting is where his true heart existed. (He’s still athletic, though, and really likes to scale things in his local climbing gym.) One of his first on-screen projects was starring as Conor Glynn in the BBC America series Copper in 2013. From there he could be seen guest-starring in Murdoch Mysteries, Reign, The Divide, Suits, Saving Hope, Frankie Drake Mysteries, Good Witch, The Umbrella Academy, and Wynonna Earp. Not just a pop-up actor, though, he’s had regular gigs, too. As Pat in the Netflix Canadian series Between, he gets into trouble, almost gets tarred, but is admirably shirtless and in just a pair of boxers during the skintillating scene. You can see him as Abraham (young Setrakian) in the FX series The Strain from 2014-2016. And, he played Noah/Xander Lemmon in the Canadian crime, drama, horror series Slasher from 2016-2019. His bare butt is naked in one episode, but Mr. Man warns that it’s not pretty to watch—a very bad man does very bad things to Jim. You can also watch our hero in as Russell in the ABC-turned Netflix series Designated Survivorin 2019, and as Theo Hunter in Canada’s Transplant series from 2020-2022. In his spare time, Jim likes to climb, and sing and write songs with his musician wife in Hamilton, Ontario.
