Biography

The late actor Joe Lynn (not to be confused with the living singer/songwriter Joe Lynn Turner) did all he could to entertain fans during his brief film career. After making his movie debut alongside Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and Richard Pryor in Sidney Lumet’s cinematic adaptation of The Wiz (1998), the Ohio native continued to work with esteemed directors in Hollywood. By 1984, he appeared in Paul Mazursky’s R-rated drama Moscow on the Hudson with Robin Williams as well as Francis Ford Coppola’s musical period piece The Cotton Club with Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Gregory Hines, Nicolas Cage, and Laurence Fishburne. Joe then changed things up. Instead of scoring supporting roles in prestigious pics, he decided to star in an X-rated flick, such as Tenement (1985). Although Mr. Lynn showed off his acting chops (among other things) in this release, he returned to his previous strategy of taking bit parts in big movies. As a result, Joe played “Detective #2” in the box office hit Three Men and a Baby (1987) featuring Ted Danson, Tom Selleck, and Steve Guttenberg. Of course, Mr. Man was more turned on by Mr. Lynn’s topless turn in The Jerk (1979). The Carl Reiner comedy stars Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters but the true scene stealers are Joe’s jiggling pecs! As a Voodoo dancer, the ebony eyeful’s muscular body certainly has us under a spell! If any home viewers re-watch this sexy scene, they’re bound to be jerking off to the lost, but not forgotten, Jerk performer.
