Even though Joel made many thrillers, including Alfred Hitchcock’s spy flick Foreign Correspondent (1940), we prefer the flesh-flashing rom-coms he did for director Preston Sturges. Sullivan’s Travels (1941) features Veronica Lake and McCrea’s sweaty chest! Better yet, he and his privates appear alongside Claudette Colbert in The Palm Beach Story (1942).
