If you’re unfamiliar with Sicilian desserts, they include buccellatos, cassatas, cioccolato di modica, frutta marturana and granita. Of course, none of these treats can make Mr. Man salivate like Luigi Lo Cascio. The sizzling dish boasts sumptuous lips that scream la dolce vita! Born in Palermo, Luigi is known to audiences in his home country yet is something of an unknown quantity over here. But once Yanks in the States get a gander at his sexy presence on camera, they’ll be yanking for Signore Lo Cascio. During the 1980s and ’90s, the brunette thespian homed his craft in stage plays (Aspettando Godot, Romeo e Giulietta, Salomè) across Europe. With the new millennium, he made his movie debut in I cento passi (2000). Also known as One Hundred Steps, the perfect ten pulled in a David di Donatello Award for Best Actor. Next came the Grand Prix winner The Best Day of My Life (2002). No doubt, fans had grand pricks for Luigi too! Through the years, the skinternational stud appeared in Cristina Comencini’s Oscar-nominated flick Don’t Tell (2005); Spike Lee’s war epic Miracle at St. Anna (2008); and Daniele Luchetti’s romantic drama The Ties (2020) with Adriano Giannini. In between, Luigi served as the director and writer of La città ideale (2012). Yet we’re more impressed with his revealing role on the crime show The Bad Guy (2022).
