Josh was born and raised in New York City which explains his street smarts. Josh kicked off his career with roles in The Hunger Games: The Ballads of Songbirds Snakes. He also landed a role in the 2021 Steven Spielberg remake of West Side Story where he played Chino. That was his true breakthrough role. After that critically acclaimed performance, it was all gravy for this young man who will make some gravy in your pants when you check out his bare buns.
He is popular right now for starring as troubled football star turned murderer Aaron Hernandez. Aaron's life is being dramatized at the moment in a Ryan Murphy American Story anthology series called American Sports Story. Josh is bringing Aaron's story to life which includes the pressure put on him to succeed as a star player for the New England Patriots, his private love affairs, and the shooting that eventually convicted him of murder.
Aaron's story is tragic because he was diagnosed with CTE after his death when brain scans revealed serious brain damage. It's not an excuse for what he did, of course, but it does indicate that he was not in his right mind due to repeated traumatic brain injuries that likely messed up his decision-making abilities.
It's messed up, but he had other traumas going on including secret gay feelings that he attempted to fight off. Luckily, the show pictures those "attempts" such as when he is in bed with Jake Cannavale.
We watch him "struggle" with his sexual desires when he masturbates to gay porn as well. Between that and the way that he checks out other men, I don't think that he did a great job at keeping his secret. No shade! I love seeing this portrayal which I know is slightly fictionalized and exaggerated for my entertainment. Well, Ryan Murphy, it's working. Good job as usual!
