American Sports Story (2024)

The tragic story of Aaron Hernandez comes to light in the first-ever American Sports Story, which is part of the American Story anthology series produced in part by Ryan Murphy. If you were of news-watching age in the early to mid 2010s you definitely remember Aaron Hernandez. Once one of the most promising NFL players, Hernandez was convicted for a series of murders and sentenced to prison. In 2017 he was acquitted of some of the murders he was pinned for, and yet days after his acquittal he took his own life in prison. He happened to do this after a radio show outed him. It was only after Hernandez's death that the world learned he came out as gay to his family when he was younger. When a life this wild gets the Ryan Murphy treatment, you know that it's going to make for compelling television. Josh Rivera takes on the role of Aaron, and in one scene masturbates to gay porn!
