Roar (2022)

Here was are in 2022 and the damn "patriarchy" is still running things, be it in Hollywood at home or in pretty much every single vignette in this star-studded series from Apple TV+!  In Roar, we follow 8 different women who are all suffering from common problems that every woman has, but it is filtered through a comedic absurdist perspective in each vignette.  Issa Rae makes it in a male driven Hollywood even though none of them hear what she has to say, Betty Gilpin is a literal trophy wife on display, Merritt Weaver meets the perfect duck and falls in love, Alison Brie is the ghost of a murdered woman, and Nicole Kidman eats her memories via actually eating her photo album, among a few other mega-stars in their bizarre and darkly hilarious stories!  Lucky for us too, 90s heartthrob and still super sexy Peter Facinelli gives us a gold star butt shot as the nude model in Meera Syal's portrait of a middle aged Indian woman who literally "returns" her husband to find her groove again in the modern world.
