While in his teens, Marino Masé was a bitten by the acting bug, leading him to explore the world of dramatic arts. After making his stage debut in L’arialda (1960), the Italian ingenue moved on to movies with Richard Pottier’s comic adventure Romulus and the Sabines (1961); Jean-Luc Godard’s French film Les Carabiniers (1963); Luchino Visconti’s historical drama The Leopard (1963); Gianni Puccini’s romantic comedy Love and Marriage (1964); and Mario Caiano’s chiller diller Nightmare Castle (1965) starring Barbara Steele. A decade later, Signor Masé co-starred with Alain Delon in the swashbuckler Zorro (1975). A decade after that, he appeared alongside Richard Gere in the Biblical epic King David (1985), before joining Francis Ford Coppola’s classic mafia franchise via The Godfather: Part III (1990). In addition to lending his sexy presence to crime flicks (Detective Belli, Ginostra, The Vatican Affair), Marino could be seen in erotic pics (Emanuelle Around the World, The Night Porter, Voglia di guardare). Although the prolific performer has more than one hundred roles on his impressive resume, he seldom doffed his duds on screen. But our prayers for Masé nudity were answered thanks to his revealing role in Top Model (1987).
