Biography

Mark J.P. Hood considers himself a Millennial Renaissance man. He comes from Chicago where he was born and raised. He is an actor and a singer who appeared on NBC's The Voice where his coach, Pharrell Williams, called him "marked for the entertainment industry". Isn't that the truth! He began his career acting in local plays where he was nominated and awarded for a Black Theatre Alliance Leading Actor in a Musical award as well as Best Male Vocalist at Chicago Music Award - twice! He made his debut in TV when he starred in Chicago Fire in 2015. From there he played Derek in Sirens (2015), Rashad in Chicago P.D. (2017), Camron Broome in The Resident (2019), Herbie in Black Monday (2019), Detective Howard in 207 (2020), and Willy Clay in the 2021 musical Love You Right: An R&B Musical. He joined a cast of stellar Black actors and comedians to make an appearance in the TV series Grand Crew in 2022. He plays Jerry Pipe, so you can probably guess what he's up to with a suggestive name like that. Jerry is packing pipe and we get to see him packing one hell of a package when he strips down to his speedo. He is the entertainment in the dining room in which he tears his clothes away and shows his six-pack abs. Check out his bulge in leopard print manties as he dances for everyone's enjoyment. We are certainly enjoying this. Maybe next time Mark will show us what's under his Hood!
