Mates (2023)

Mates is a frustratingly softcore British gay indie filled with opportunities for nudity. However, the director flubs this one big time, instead only teasing skin from the flick's four main stars. We're still getting into the deets for you, because the cast is just that hot. They can make this work even with their clothes on! Curly-haired cutie James Wiles is giving us major Tom Holland vibes, and he stars in Mates as an ostensibly straight man named Connor. By the time he realizes that Adam (Jonathan Cobb) is sexually attracted to him, it's too late. Connor has already caught the gay bug, and he's willing to forego his straight identification to see where this man-on-man romance goes. Connor meets Adam while on a hiking trip with Nathan and Mark (Sam Law and Rafe Bird respectively) and naturally, when men are out in nature together, they catch glimpses of each other in their underwear. Mates will make you 'bates!
