The long, lean, and dirty blonde boy toy from Detroit, Michael Moriarty has now been a staple on the big and small screen for a whopping 50 years and has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood! Michael got his start over in England as an acclaimed stage actor after graduating from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts where he went as a Fulbright Scholar. After doing theater for a while, he jumped into a couple of monstrously successful movies next to the biggest names, he took the lead in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973) opposite Robert De Niro and then played a marine opposite Jack Nicholson in the Academy Award nominated classic, The Last Detail (1973). He played a crooked cop in Shoot it Black, Shoot it Blue (1974) and then took home two Emmys for his work in The Glass Menagerie (1973) and again an Emmy win opposite Meryl Streep in the mini-series Holocaust (1978). He was the second lead in Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider (1985), and then did some horror flicks in the mid 80s like Troll (1986), It's Alive III: Island of the Alive (1987), and A Return to Salem's Lot, where he even pops his shirt off for us! Michael did an impressive run on Law & Order too from 1990-1994 as E.A.D.A. Ben Stone, where he was a perennial Emmy nominee for his work, but it wasn't until he played James Dean's dad in the TV movie James Dean (2001), where he won his last Emmy. of course this 6'4" daddy isn't done acting either, you can catch him in movies, TV shows, and stage productions to this date and it's always a treat when this legend hits the screen!
