O Crime do Padre Amaro (2023)

The 2023 Portuguese miniseries O Crime do Padre Amaro is based on the late 19th century novel of the same name by Eça de Queirós, and has been adapted several times before, most notably with Gael Garcia Bernal in the early 2000s. The young priest Padre Amaro (José Condessa) is sent to the small town of Leiria to lead their congregation. Many of the older church members are put off by his more modern ways, but the entire congregation and village begins to talk when Padre Amaro begins spending a lot of his time with the beautiful young woman Amélia (Bárbara Branco). The good priest certainly tossed his vow of celibacy in the trash and we get a nice look at José Condessa's bare ass during a steamy sex montage in the show's fourth episode! Bless us Father for we are about to sin!
