Inspired in part by Hillary Clinton's quest to get back into the White House, in 2012 USA's comedic miniseriesPolitical Animals (2012) starred Sigourney Weaver as Former First Lady turned current Secretary of State Elaine Barrish. Elaine made her bones in the political world as First Lady to the Libertine, slick Southern boy bud Hammond (Ciaran Hinds). Once his two terms were up, Elaine was the governor of Illinois but lost the Democratic nomination for president to current President Paul Garcetti (Adrian Pasdar). Now divorced, Elaine's stuck working alongside the man she knows she'd run the country better than, while trying to keep the muckraking journalist Susan (Carla Gugino) from finding all the floozies her ex-hubby has been sleeping with now that he doesn't care about his own political future. Worse, the journalist could find out that her son TJ (Sebastian Stan) is both a drug addict and gay! Can Elaine get the family back on track and shore up their political dynasty or will her ex and the kids ruin any chance she has at becoming president? The show wasn't a big hit when it premiered in the middle of the Barack Obama presidency, but a few critics have gone back to do retrospectives on it after Hillary faced off with Donald Trump. Plus, Sebastian Stan became a huge star in the MCU, so those who Stan Sebastian are always tracking it down. We see you Sebastian, especially when he hooks up with David Monahan, and the pair quickly take their shirts off to get down to business like the Political Animals they are! Igor Jijikine similarly has a great time when he plays strip poker in his underwear with a table of beautiful women. He's playing the political game just right! No show about drama inside the beltway had Mr. Man unbuckling his belt like Political Animals!
