Making the transition from singer-songwriter to actor isn’t always easy, but talented Texan Kris Kristofferson made it look almost effortless. The world lost the award-winning country musician and film star on September 28th at age 88, but the bearded hottie has left an abundance of art to remember him by, from hit songs to iconic performances and a fair amount of on-screen nudity.
Most people know Kris Kristofferson as the creative force behind popular songs like “Me and Bobby McGee” (famously sung by Janis Joplin),”Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” (first recorded by Johnny Cash), and his own hit “Help Me Make It Through The Night.” Kris found even more fame when he and fellow country stars Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson formed the supergroup The Highwaymen in 1985.

But by that point, he had already established his successful second career as an actor. After kicking things off in 1971, Mr. Kristofferson got audiences off-erson for the first time by baring his butt and balls briefly in the 1973 Western Pat Garret Billy the Kid.

In 1976, he starred opposite Barbra Streisand in the first remake of A Star is Born, which would earn him a Golden Globe, and then a year later, he’d show off his smooth, shirtless bod as a football player in Semi-Tough.

His buns made an encore appearance in the trucker comedy Convoy, but Kris would keep his lower half under wraps after that, though he did flaunt his tight torso in Songwriter(1984),Trouble in Mind(1985), and Millennium (1989).

He’d remain clothed for the rest of his film career, which included memorable roles in the Blade trilogy, Dolphin Tale and its sequel, Lone Star, and He’s Just Not That Into You, to name a few. We always wished he’d strip down one last time, but it was not to be. Thankfully, we’ve got Kris’s 1970s nudity to help us make it through the night.
